Pictures & a Lincoln Update- we need your prayers!

A couple of weeks ago we were getting ready to go to church and as we were going down the hall Lincoln reached out for the wall and had a seizure. Since he couldn't grab onto the wall he ended up falling into his toybox and the mark on his forehead was the end result. Later on that night Lincoln had a bath and when he looked at himself in the mirror he said, "It's my spaceship owie". This epilepsy thing really sucks, but Lincoln can still always find a way to make us smile.

Here are a couple of updated pictures of Dominic. Yes, his hands really are that big! He was 8 lbs the day we took him home from the hospital, at his two week checkup he was 9 lbs 10 oz. No wonder I feel like all I do all day is feed him! His chubby cheeks are so fun to kiss.

Lincoln is going to be having another MRI tomorrow morning here in Fargo. He has not been getting any better over the last few weeks and has actually gotten worse in some regards. It seems that he has become immune to the first medications that he was put on. The plan is to try a different two medicine combination. We have already weaned him off of the one medicine and in a week or so we will start weaning him off of the other medication. While we wean him we slowly add the two new medicines. Of course this means that we are doing the wait and see game all over again which is a game we hate. It was going fairly well at first, but the one medicine seems to be irritating his stomach so he has thrown up a couple of times and of course he has thrown up shortly after we have given him his medicine which leads to increased seizures. So we have to be careful how quickly we increase these new medicines. Also, these medicines add to the dizziness and stumbling so we are back to trying to get him to not run, walk, jump, climb etc-not fun. Some of his seizures have also become longer - longer than a minute - when all of his seizures in the past have always been less than 30 seconds. So the reason they are doing another MRI is because he went almost two months without seizures; he is not responding to his medication anymore; he is not responding to the new medications like they had anticipated and they are getting more severe so they want to make sure there is not something else going on. So we would really appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers tomorrow and in the coming weeks. Please pray that they don't find anything tomorrow. And after that please pray for Lincoln's sake that these seizures stop. They are starting to bother him-he cries a lot and says he hurts a lot. And lastly please pray for strength for Josh and I. It's hard to be strong, but we have to for Lincoln and also for our newest little boy.
